Mazel Tov Kocktail Hour and Austiner Klezmer Bund are excited to present a 2-day workshop with Sherry Mayrent of the Mayrent Institute for Yiddish Culture. Mazel Tov Kocktail Hour has been learning from and playing with Sherry for several years and now want to share her passion for and wealth of knowledge in klezmer music with the Austin community.
There will be several opportunities to learn with Sherry. Listed below are times and possible class themes. For a really powerful learning experience, plan to come to all classes. Content will vary according to the people there. Classes are open to anyone – all ages, all instruments or no instruments, all playing levels.

Classes will be held at a home in South Austin. When you RSVP, we will send you the address.
In addition to the scheduled class times, Sherry is also available for sectionals or 1:1 instruction. Please message here if you would like to schedule a time to meet with Sherry as an instrument sectional or 1:1, and we will do our best to accommodate if time permits.
